Sarah-Mace Dennis is a multiplatform director and video artist based in London. Her experimental approach to projection has earned her commissions for Waltham Forest Council, the QLD Multicultural Centre, the State Library of QLD and Metricon Stadium. In 2012, her public projection work Moving over the Shoreline, won her an ArtsHub Critics Choice Award. Developed in collaboration with ethnic dance groups and Brisbane’s local migrant community, the project was described by Lisa Dempster, Director of the Melbourne Writers Festival as ‘an ambitious site-specific work, beautifully realised.’ Sarah has written, directed and edited short films, corporates, music videos and commercials. Her work has featured in international film screenings, events and exhibitions including Transart Festival, (Berlin, 2013), The International Film Festival in Detmold Germany (2010 and 2011) Performance Studies International (Utrecht, the Netherlands, 2011), World Dance Alliance (New York, 2010), the Next Wave Festival (Melbourne, 2010) and the Biennale of Electronic Arts (Perth, 2004). |
